About Marathi Department
The Degree programme in Marathi was started in 1938 and the Post Graduate programme was started in 1980-81. Though started under the discipline of languages, the department achieved recognition in a short span. Under the guidance of Mr B. B. Dharne, the department has achieved progress.
Some students of the department annually appear in the merit list. Similarly many of the students have cleared NET/SET examination and achieved recruitment. Presently Mr B. B. Dharne is the HOD and Associate Professor while Dr. Kailas Wankhade, Professor & Dr. H. N. Nareti is Assistant Professor in the department. The annual activities ruined by the department is to establish “MARATHI VANGMAY MANDAL”. Different courses ruined by the department such as functional Marathi Certificate Course, Diploma Course, Advance Diploma Course. Projects, Educational tours, educational visits, seminars etc programmes are regularly organized by the department.
