Sitabai Arts, Commerce, & Science College run the Berar General
Education society was established in 1938. In the beginning there was
only Arts branch .A part from language subjects such as Marathi,
English, Hindi & Sanskrit, optional subjects such as Economics,
political science, sociology etc. were started in course of time branches
of legal science and commerce were started in this college. As the
promotion and spread of education started to increase, the student from
various class started coming forward. They developed an interest in
education and thus the number of students also started increasing and
for that the college started various optional subjects. As part of this, the
subject of Home Economics was started in the college in the year 1970
for the students, were curious about the topic that started with this
name. But as the knowledge and information of this subject .The
students, the number of student in this subject increased .At that time
Professor Mrs Nikhade was appointed to teach this subject, she
explained to the student that through the study of this subject, the
talents of the students get scope and women become self-reliant and
home wives. Therefore the interest of the students to take this subject
increased and the number of students continue to increase, Mrs
Nokhade was functioning till 2003. After her retirement, until the new
appointment is made in this department on contributory basses.
Berdekar, Mrs Pisolkar, Mrs. Despande Mrs Bhuibhar, Mrs.
Suryvanshi etc. worked and contributed diligently to the progress of
this department. Today there are about 100 students in this department
from 12/01/2007 Mrs. Chayya Kherdekar ,Mis chayya Ghadyalaji was
working as assistant professor and HOD.Arts from junior college
Mrs. Banne, assisted here from, 2018 Mrs. Sarika Maheshwari was
working on CHB in this session. base The college has arranged separate
and well-furnished lab for conducting various demonstrations of part
I, II, III. All arrangements have been for department office all the useful
and necessary comfort are available in the section along with latest
equipment college Administration and Board of Directors so that there
is no deficiency use to this . This, departments will definitely remain
leader in the progress of the college.
