Physical Education (Sports)
While academic excellence has been the main goal of our educational efforts. The participation and performance in sports, cultural activities, and extra-curricular activities have also received due and minute attention of the authorities of the Sitabai Arts College.
The college provides indoors & outdoor games facilities for the students. The number of boys and girls, who have benefited from these sports facilities, is indeed very large. This has enabled the college to build a strong foundation for sports and a sporting tradition, which has produced outstanding sportsmen in different games, many of whom have brought great distinction to the college and to themselves, at the University, national and the international level.
Outdoor Games
- 1. Cricket : Cricket is played on the Akola Cricket Club ground, Akola.
- 2. Football and Hockey : These games are played on the Police Head Quarter ground, Akola.
- 3. Softball : This game is played on the Vasant Desai Stadium, Akola.
- 4. Basketball Court : This game is played on the college ground.
- 5. Volleyball : This game is played on the college ground.
- 6. Hand Ball : Handball is played on the court of Vasant Desai Stadium, Akola.
- 7. Athletics : Shot Put, Discus throw, Hurdles; Hammer and Javelin throw, Long jump and High jump events take place on the Vasant Desai Stadium, Akola.
Indian Games
- 1. Kabaddi : This game is played on the College Ground
- 2. Kho-Kho : Vasant Desai Stadium, Akola.
Indoor Games
- 1. Badminton : R.L.T. College Hall
- 2. Table Tennis : R.L.T. College Hall
- 3. Boxing: A boxing ring for training and practice is provided in the gymnasium. Vasant Desai Stadium Akola.
- 4. Wrestling and Judo : Mats are provided for wrestling and judo in the Vasant Desai Stadium Akola.
- 5. Carom and Chess : Boards for these games are provided to students in college hall..
